Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Badges and Insignia

(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of three badges and insignia, including:

1. Sturmabteilung (SA) Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central mobile swastika, overlaid by a sword, the reverse with and integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “KARL HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 46.24 mm (w) x 58.63 mm (h), weighing 22.0 grams, in better than very fine condition.

2. A German Equestrian Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of a bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized belt surrounding a letter “R”, around a central mounted horse, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “STEINHAUER & LÜCK, LÜDENSCHEID”, measuring 42.81 mm (w) x 52.70 mm (h), weighing 15.2 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish and surface oxidation, in very fine condition.

3. An Ordnungspolizei visor cap insignia, constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
