Germany, Wehrmacht. A General Standard Flag Banderole

(Wehrmacht Fahnenband für Fahnen und Standarten aller Waffengattungen). A rare and well-preserved Wehrmach general standard flag banderole, constructed of carefully machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire and trimmed with black and red threaded tresses at each edge in imitation of the Wehrmacht red, white, and black tri-colour scheme, with each end completing in a silver aluminum wire tassel and fringe emanating from a multi-coloured stem, featuring dual silver aluminum wire plates secured in place at each end just above the tassel, both bearing double-sided Heer-style German national eagles clutching mobile swastika, the obverse of each also bearing a dates “16. MÄRZ 1936” and “16. MÄRZ 1935”, unmarked, measuring 5 cm (w) x 205 cm (l), demonstrating minor tarnishing to the plates, in near extremely fine condition.
