Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Panzer IV rolling over grassy terrain, with its left tread extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 42.16 mm (w) x 60.21 mm (h), weighing 30.3 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of silver finish and a spot of oxidation to the five o’clock position of the reverse, in better than very fine condition.
