(Wehrmacht Abzeichen). A mixed lot of three service badges, including:

 

1 An Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47.24 mm (w) x 61.00 mm (h), weighing 30.6 grams, demonstrating total loss of silver finish in very fine condition.

 

2. A General Assault Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 42.26 mm (w) x 52.90 mm (h), weighing 30.8 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish, in very fine condition.

 

3. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with LDO code “L14” for Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 36.30 mm (w) x 43.88 mm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish with some oxidation, in fair condition.
