(Kriegsmarine Zerstörer Bilder). An extensive and mix lot of prewar and wartime photos documenting the crew and activities of the Kriegsmarine destroyer Z5 Paul Jacobi, consisting of six professionally- and period-enlarged prints showing the destroyer and other Kriegsmarine vessels at sea and in port at what appears to be a fjord, all printed on unmarked matte photo paper measuring 178 mm (w) x 240 mm (h) with the exception of one measuring 195 mm (w) x 180 mm (h); four medium professionally- and period-enlarged prints showing similar scenes of the vessels at sea or in port, with two bearing handwritten reverse inscriptions, all measuring approximately 180 mm (w) x 130 mm (h), and; 55 smaller photos randing from standard 60 mm x 90 mm through to postcard-sized 90 mm (w) x 130 mm (h) prints, featuring an extensive array of images, including studio portraits of Kriegsmarine personnel, photos of vessels at sea and in port with crews and details visible, depictions of Kriegsmarine and Wehrmacht personnel ashore, many with handwritten inscriptions on the reverse; some demonstrating the remnants of adhesives on the reverse consistent with previous album display, a superb and privately-captured account of the service career of a Kriegsmarine destroyer in extremely fine condition.
