Bulgaria, Kingdom. An Order of St. Alexander, III Class

(Орден ""Свети Александър""). Instituted in 1881 by King Alexander I. Type II. In silver gilt, a green enamelled cross, the obverse presenting a rampant lion on a red enamel field, surrounded by a white ring inscribed СБ. НАМИ БОГЪ, the reverse features the inscription 19 ФЕВРАЛЖ 1878 on a white enamel field, the cross is surmounted by a Princely crown, measures 50.2mm (w) x 92.2mm (h – inclusive of cross adorned crown suspension), weighs 54.6 grams including ribbon, marked SILBER on the suspension ring, worn on original red neck ribbon, enamels intact, gilt wear on the crown and edge of cross, remains in very fine condition.
