Germany, Luftwaffe. A 1943 Leningrad Wolchow Stock

(Wolchow Stock). A well-preserved and classic Wolchow Stock (souvenir walking stick), constructed of multiple pieces of hand-carved and dark lacquered wood. It features a rounded and tapering handle which transitions into a square-shaped shaft. The top of the shaft is inset with a carved Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, while the lower circumference features a variety of geometric designs, interspersed with an Iron Cross, talon, and inscriptions of “WOLCHOW FRONT” and “LENINGRAD 1943”. It measures 91 cm in total length, and demonstrates only minor, age-appropriate surface scratching. This classic memento of Eastern Front service is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
