Italy, Kingdom. An Eritrean Army Corps (Askaris) Medal

Instituted 1936. In bronze, the obverse presents an Askari solider running with a rifle, surrounded by the inscription CORPO D’ARMATA ERITREO, the reverse bears the dates and battles the Askaris participated in, measures 37.5mm (d), weighs 22.2 grams, worn on original ribbon, light wear, a scarce award in very fine condition.
