1. A Bavarian Heer (Army) buckle, constructed of gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “IN TREUE FEST” (“STEADFAST IN LOYALTY”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating minor scratching and tarnishing with additional oxidation to the solder affixing the loop in place, in better than very fine condition.
2. A Württemberg Heer (Army) buckle, constructed of silvered and gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central raised Württemberg coat of arms, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (“FEARLESS AND LOYAL”) with a six-pointed star, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating minor tarnishing, in near extremely fine condition.
