In bronze gilt, the obverse centrepiece featuring a glazed and enamelled portrait of the right-facing Queen Preah Kossomak Nearireath wearing the sash of the Royal Order of Cambodia, measuring 59.3 mm (w) x 93 mm (h) inclusive of its crown and laterally-pierced ball suspension, clasp in bronze gilt with five glass stones affixed to its original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine.
Footnote: The original Royal Order of H.M. The Queen Preah Kossomak Nearireath was established on October 1, 1962. The Order was abolished in 1975 with the advent of the Khmer Rouge regime and the abolishment of the monarchy. Upon the re-establishment of the monarchy in 1993, the Order was reinstated in 2001: Type I (2001 version) has the queen facing left; Type II (after 2001) has the queen facing right.
