(Rád rudé hvezdy práce). Instituted in 1955. Type II (1960-1989). In silver with red enamels, number impressed "4060", hallmarked with a goat's head above the number "2" (silver fineness .925) and maker marked "ZUKOV" on the reverse of the wreath suspension, measuring 40.5 mm (w) x 64 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball and linden leaves suspension, tiny hole in the red enamels on the star point at 12 o'clock, otherwise the enamels are intact, original ribbon, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of the Red Star of Labour was awarded to recognize dedication to labour, and for merit in building socialism within Czechoslovakia. It was conferred upon individual civilians, military personnel, groups and businesses. There are two main versions of this Order: Type I awarded from 1955-1960 features a rearing lion wearing a crown and the inscription "REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ." on the reverse; Type II awarded from 1960-1989 features the rearing lion surmounted by a star from the 1960 Czechoslovak coat-of-arms and flanked on either side by the inscriptions "ČSSR" and "ČSSR." on the reverse.
