A mixed lot of three items belonging to a volunteer of the Spanish Blue Division who saw service on the Eastern Front, including: 1. A Spanish-made 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of partially-blackened magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a classic brass buckle and horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core and ribbed silvered frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 45.33 mm (w) x 45.44 mm (h), weighing 22.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon and buckle), with spots of minor surface oxidation evident, in near extremely fine condition. 2. A rare Blue Division Officer’s belt buckle, constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an rectangular frame surrounding a detailed Spanish national eagle overlaid by a red enameled sword, the reverse with two loops, unmarked, measuring 52 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), with demonstrating age-appropriate and removable verdigris, in very fine condition. 3. A Falange member’s belt buckle, constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of a pebbled rectangular plaque bearing a raised Falange insignia, the reverse with a clip and loop, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
