(Wehrmacht Schlupfhemd in Splittertarn). An extremely well-preserved Wehrmacht camouflage smock, constructed of a weather-hardened, cotton/rayon-blended drill material. The exterior is dyed in a classic Splittertarnmuster (Splinter Pattern) camouflage with a mottle consisting of a primarily khaki-tan base overlaid by irregular dark brown and dark green geometric shapes, in turn overlaid by dark green splinters arranged vertically. It features a hood retaining a fully-intact green mesh net which descends down across the wearer’s face. A vertical slit set into the neck descends down through the chest and is flanked by six sets of reinforced dual eyelets retaining an original drawstring for custom closure. The cuff of each sleeve has an integral strap perforated with a reinforced buttonhole, in turn meeting two zink alloy buttons for adjustable closure. A ventilation slash is set into each armpit for additional comfort in the field. The waistband features a hollow channel culminating in dual reinforced eyelets at the front for the inclusion of a drawstring. Unmarked, the smock measures approximately 80 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 49 cm, and an overall body length of 70 cm. Demonstrating no evident damage or wear, it remains in an extremely fine condition.
