WWII Enlisted Man's/ NCO`s Field Side Cap

WWII Enlisted Man's/ NCO`s Field Combat Side Cap - This is the standard field cap used by the Japanese Army until the end of the war. Olive drab wool construction, an Army pattern star, in yellow wool sewn on the front, original factory machine stitching is untouched, soft bill, missing its chinstrap, three ventilation holes with reinforced stitching on each side, 36 mm long vent on the reverse with original tie string fed through three holes on either side for size adjustment, unlined interior with white cloth sweatband, exhibits the expected light age toning, the rear hole on the left side missing its reinforcement stitching, 90 mm x  280 mm x 120 mm in height, extremely fine.
