Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Ottawa, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 86, July 1, 1915. The Battalion sailed with a strength of 37 officers and 1,038 other ranks for Bermuda on August 8, 1915 as a Protective Garrison. On May 30, 1916, the Battalion sailed for England under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel C.M. Edwards. The Battalion served in France and Belgium with the 12th Brigade, 4th Canadian Division. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
