WWI 112th Battalion "Nova Scotia Overseas Battalion" Insignia CEF - Cap Badge (pickled brass, maker marked "M S BROWN" on the reverse, 40.8 mm x 44.6 mm, intact lugs); and two Collar Tabs (pickled brass, unmarked, 28.7 mm x 33.5 mm each, intact lugs). Extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Nova Scotia with mobilization headquarters at Windsor, Nova Scotia under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed July 24, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel H.B. Tremaine with a strength of 36 officers and 1,090 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 26th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
