WWI 37th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge CEF - Browning copper, unmarked, 32.2 mm x 43.6 mm, intact lugs and pin, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Niagara Falls, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 86, July 1, 1915. The Battalion sailed November 27, 1915 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel C.F. Bick with a strength of 40 officers and 1,104 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed by the 39th Infantry Battalion and was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
