WWI 26th Infantry Battalion Collar Insignia Pair - Bronze, unmarked, 19 mm x 30 mm each, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in New Brunswick with mobilization headquarters at Saint John under the authority of G.O. 36, March 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed June 13, 1915 with a strength of 42 officers and 1,108 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.L. McAvity. The Battalion served in France and Belgium with the 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
