A WWI Canadian Trio to Meritorious Service Medal Recipient - 1914-15 Star (36043 L. Cpl. A. BARKER. CAN:A.S.C.); British War Medal (36043 W.O. CL. 2. A. BARKER. C.A.S.C.); and Victory Medal (36043 W.O. CL. 2 A. BARKER. C.A.S.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, original ribbons, obverse surface wear on the BWM, residue in the recessed areas of the Star from cleaning, light contact, very fine. Accompanied by a copy of his Attestation Paper. Footnote: Almond Barker was born on June 14, 1887 in Plymouth, England. He signed his Attestation Paper on September 22, 1914 at Valcartier Camp, at the age of 27, naming his next-of-kin as Thomas Barker of Plymouth, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Chauffeur. Barker was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal as a Battery Sergeant Major.
