The Order of Saint Gregory the Great; Grand Cross- Finely made by TANFANI & BERTARELLI, silver gilt and enamels, 58 mm x 68 mm, inclusive of wreath suspension, very fine. Breast Star, unmarked, silver gilt and enamels, 84 mm, with vertical pinback, good very fine. Both in fitted hard-shelled case, maker marked TANFANI & BERTARELLI, PIAZZA DELLA MINERVIA ROMA on inside lid, 132 mm x 270 mm, loose latch, exterior wear, fine condition. Both pieces feature crisp colors, superb detail, intact enamels, of fine quality manufacture, nice patinas.
