A First War Group to the 1st Canadian Infantry CEF - First War Group to the 1st Canadian Infantry - 1914-15 Star (A-2422 PTE J. WALKER. 1/CAN:INF:); British War Medal (402422 A.W.O. CL. 2. J. WALKER. 1-CAN.INF.); and Victory Medal (402422 A.W.O. CL. 2. J. WALKER. 1-CAN.INF.). Naming is officially impressed on all three. Crisp detail, dark patinas, light contact, very fine. Accompanied by a 1st Canadian Division Veteran's Badge (bronze, 24 mm, cracked enamelled buttonhole attachment), Canadian Government Medal Transmittal Slip, a Card illustrating a painted mural of poppies and three WWI medals (MM, BWM, VM) with addressable envelope and a copy of his Attestation Paper. Footnote: James Walker was born on April 28, 1882 in Dundee, Scotland. He signed his Attestation Paper on January 23, 1915 at Woodstock, Ontario, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Dispenser.
