WWI British War Medal to the Canadian Field Artillery - (304012 GNR. P.H. MC CRACKEN. C.F.A.). Naming is officially impressed. Light contact, edge nicks, cleaned, better than very fine. Footnote: Percy Howard McCracken was born on July 20, 1896 in Dunmer Township, Peterboro, Ontario. He signed his Attestation Paper with the 24th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery, on October 25, 1915 at Barriefield, Ontario, at the age of 19, naming his next-of-kin as Mrs. F. McCracken of Peterboro, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Canoe Builder.
