An 1870 Liberation of Rome Commemorative Medal - (SPQR = Senatus Populusque Romanus = The Senate and People of Rome)  Bronze, engraver marked "G. MOSCETTI" on the reverse, 31.5 mm, light contact, edge nicks, bruised, better than very fine.    Footnote: The medal was instituted on September 27, 1870 and awarded to those who took part in the defence and liberation of Rome from 1849 to 1870.
