An Austrian Military Merit Cross; 3rd Class Case - Hardshelled, pebbled exterior, gilt type "MILITAER VERDIENSTKREUZ" and insignia illustrating a wreath backed by crossed swords on the lid, maker marked "ROTHE KOHLMARKT 7 WIEN" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, 65 mm x 112 mm x 25 mm, working latch, surface rust evident on the hinge, surface wear on the exterior edges, sides and bottom, case very fine.
