Footnote: The plaque features Franz Joseph wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece, greeting the Austrian people and the date 1848-1908 at his feet, noting his sixty years on the throne. The inscription in the upper right corner, "NEUJAHR 1909" denotes the start of the New Year 1909, with the people below celebrating and looking forward to another year of Franz Joseph's reign. The reverse is marked "AM BRAND" (On Fire).
