A First War Canadian Medal Group to Flight Cadet Stevens RAF- 1914-15 Star (120 Pte W. STEVENS. CAN:A.S.C.); British War Medal (316121 F-CADET. W. STEVENS. R.A.F.); and Victory Medal (316121 F. CDT. W. STEVENS. R.A.F.). Naming is officially impressed, Un-mounted, original ribbons, dark patina on the BWM, residue on the obverse of the BWM, better than very fine.Footnote: William Stevens was born on December 6, 1890 in London, England. He signed his Attestation Paper with the 2nd Division Supply Column, Canadian Army Service Corps (service number 120) on December 14, 1914 in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 24, naming his next-of-kin as his father, William Stevens of London, Ontario, stating that he had previous military service with the 1st Cadet Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Locomotive Fireman. He later joined the Royal Air Force as a Flight Cadet (service number 316121). Flight Cadet Stevens was granted a temporary commission as a 2nd Lieutenant (Observer Officer) effective November 30, 1918, the announcement appearing in the London Gazette 31058 of Tuesday, December 10, 1918, page 14574.
