A First War Victory Medal to the 7th Canadian Infantry; KIA - (645656 PTE. E.SCARLETT. 7-CAN. INF.) Naming is impressed, correct replacement ribbon, very fine. Footnote: Ernest Scarlett previously served with 1st Life Guards and with the Liverpool (England) and Vancouver Police Forces. Indicated on his attestation papers he had served for 3 years, 8 months with the Life Guards. Recorded as having KIA in August 15, 1917 and remembered on the Vimy Memorial.
