Romania, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown, Commander, by C.F. Zimmermann

An Order of the Crown of Romania; Commander by C.F. Zimmermann - Civil Division; Type II (1932-1947)  German-made, silver with red and white enamels, gilt cypher of Carol I on the obverse, marked "SILBER" (silver in German) and maker marked "CFZ" (C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim, Germany) on the ring, hallmarked with a crown, marked "5037", "MN" (Monetaria Nationala = National Mint) and "43" on one side of the loop, marked "5" on the other side of the loop, 46 mm, on original full-length neck ribbon, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, cypher of Michael I and marked "Coroana Romaniei Comandor Civil" on the lid, maker marked "MONETARIA NATIONALA" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, pin missing on one hinge, scuffing evident on the exterior, case very fine.
