A Post War Signed Photograph of Knight's Cross Recipient; Späte - Wolfgang Späte, Oberleutnant and Pilot of Fighter Wing 54, one of the premier test pilots of the Luftwaffe and among the few people to have tested the Me 163 and Me 262 Jet Fighters. He was the 90th recipient of the Oak Leaves on April 23, 1942 during the Siege of Leningrad. The photo was taken in October 1941. The photo is posted onto a greeting card, the reverse side features a picture of the Me 163 B in a steep ascent to engage an Allied bomber wing. 139x117mm, in excellent condition.
