A Düsseldorf National Socialist German Frontline Fighters' Stahlhelm Standard Bearer's Gorget - (NSDFB) : "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Frontkämpfer Bund". Two-piece construction, white metal base with a silvered finish to the front plate, the two pieces fastened together via three bolts and nuts, undated but likely of early 1930s manufacture, obverse illustrating a crowned Prussian-style eagle clutching an eponymous Stahlhelm, five line inscription on the reverse engraved "N.S.D.F.B / Gau Düsseldorf / Ortsgruppe / Jagerhof-Nord- / Kaiserswerth" on the reverse, 167 mm x 173 mm. suspended from a 540 mm long multi-link chain, light contact, near extremely fine.
