A Rare Knight’s Cross Group of Document’s & Photos, to a Schnellboot Commander Oberleutnant zur See Karl Ehrhard Karcher, one of only 23 SchnellbootKnight’s Cross’s Winners; original award document for Destroyer War Badge (17.1.1941), with original signature of Kapitän zur See; original award document for Iron Cross 1st Class (18.9.1941), with original signature of Admiral u. Flottenchef; original award document for E-Boat War Badge (10.1.1942), with original signature of Kapitän zur See; original award document for Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 (25.8.1943), measure 15cm x 21cm, with original signature of Fregattenkapitän; all documents are in excellent, virtually mint condition; together with Ehrentafel der Deutchen Kriegsmarine, listing Karcher as Knight’s Cross recipient; congratulatory telegram for German Cross in Gold; an Erinnerungsblätter (commemorative booklet) published to commemorate visit of Kriegsmarine Officers (including Karcher, who is on several photos) to Daimler-Benz factory in Stuttgart, on 10 September 1943, in total 32 photos; approximately 25 original photos, of various sizes, most depicting Karcher – photos of visit to Daimler-Benz factory; photos of Schnellboots, harbor, Kriegsmarine Officers. An excellent ad rare grouping to a SchnellbootCommander.   Footnote: Karl Ehrhard Karcher (3 January 1918 in Remscheid – 12 March 1973 in Freistett) was a German WWII Schnellboot commander, serving on few Schnellboots, including S-50 (in 1941),  S-63 (in late 1942), S-87 (in 1943); he received  German Cross in Gold on 26 November 1942 as Oberleutnant zur See on Schnellboot S-22 in the 4. Schnellbootflottille; and Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 12 August 1943 as Oberleutnant zur See and commander of Schnellboot S-87 in the 4.
