A Royal Visit to Cardiff Commemorative Medal; July 13, 1907 - Bronze, weighing 53.6 grams, obverse illustrating the right-facing busts of the two reigning monarchs and surrounded by the inscription "KING EDWARD VII . QUEEN ALEXANDRA", reverse illustrating the coat-of-arms of the City of Cardiff in the centre, surrounded by various ribbon banners inscribed "TO COMMEMORATE THE VISIT TO THE CITY OF CARDIFF OF / THE KING & QUEEN & H.R.H PRINCESS VICTORIA / ON THE OCCASION OF THE OPENING OF / THE QUEEN ALEXANDRA DOCK / 13th JULY 1907" and inscribed "SIR. W.S. GROSSMAN Kt. LORD MAYOR J.L. WHEATLEY TOWN CLERK" below, 51.5 mm, green oxidation spots on the obverse, near extremely fine.
