A First & Second War South African Medal Group - Victory Medal (Pte. S.G. LITSTER. 2ND S.A.I.); 1939-1945 Star (104422 F. LITSTER); Africa Star (104422 F. LITSTER); and Africa Service Medal (104422 F. LITSTER). Naming is officially impressed. Unmounted, original ribbons, extremely fine. Accompanied by two bakelite dog tags, stamped "104422 GNR. LITSTER WES." on a leather tether, plus a 135 mm x 165 mm brown Pretoria S.A. registered envelope, which the medals were originally shipped in, addressed to Mr. F. Litster, Johannesburg. Inside the envelope is a notation from the Chief of the General Staff authorizing the awarding of four medals (three of which are included here, the War Medal 1939-1945 not included), printed in English and Dutch.
