A Second War USAAF China-Burma-India Theatre Banner 1944 - Base is white cotton with a silk-like upper dyed in reddish-pink, China-Burma-India Theatre insignia in the centre, flanked by wings, the sun, star, stripes of the insignia and wings in silver bullion wire, the red and navy blue stripes of the shield are embroidered, inscribed "U.S.A." above, "CHINA" to the left, "BURMA" to the right, "1944" with an outlined map inscribed "INDIA" below, along with branches and leafing in all four corners, all in silver bullion wire, four edges trimmed in fine bullion tassel trim flanked by two rows of yellow threading, 415 mm x 415 mm, fold marks, light soiling and fabric interruptions in the bullion. Very fine.
