Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, maker marked on the ring, 42.5 mm); War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (gilt tombac, 48 mm); Brunswick War Merit Cross 1914 (bronze, 30 mm); Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (iron with a bronze-coloured gilt, maker marked "ESL" in a circle (Ernst Schneider, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse, 37.2 mm); Armed Forces Long Service Cross 2nd Class for Eighteen Years' Service (silvered zinc, 35.5 mm, eagle clasp on the ribbon); and Armed Forces Long Service Medal 2nd Class for Four Years's Service (silvered tombac, 30 mm, eagle clasp on the ribbon). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, original ribbons, scattered silvering wear evident on the Armed Forces awards, near extremely fine.
