An NSDAP School Egendorf Leaders Badge

Die struck badge in silver (900), marked on reverse, 22.8mm x 24.0mm, in extremely fine condition. Footnote: the “Thüringen State School for Leadership and Politics, Egendorf” (Thüringer Staatsschule für Führertum und Politik Egendorf" was established by the NSDAP regime after 1933 in order to “educate” and indoctrinate young teachers into the NSDAP philosophy and teachings. Courses were intended for both males and females. The exact purpose of this award is not clear. It may have been worn by the teachers, or by teachers who successfully completed the courses; the badge is fairly scarce to find.
