Bronze, obverse illustrating a Roman god battling with an octopus, inscribed in Latin "VIRTVTE DVCE" (the Command) above and engraver marked "DE MARCHIS", reverse illustrating an M Legion flagpole with legion banners below, inscribed "LEGIONARI DI ROMA IN TERRA DI SPAGNA" and engraver marked "JOHNSON", 30.7 mm, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine.
