Fabricated from a very thick leather, upper with a smooth dark reddish-brown finish, the reverse in raw leather, emboss stamped with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and maker marked "L2/748/40" on the underside tab, hand-inscribed nearby with the interlocking initials "SA" on the raw leather underside, two-prong pebbled aluminum buckle stitched in place and marked with the RZM insignia, the stylized Assmann "A" (F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid) and "M5/289U", the opposite end of the belt with two rows of seven die holes each for length adjustment and number stamped in black ink "95" on the underside, the belt measuring 45 mm wide x 1,060 in length, very light contact, near extremely fine.
