A German Leather Standard Bearer Belt by G.B., Berlin

This belt is composed of two pieces: a holster and a belt. The flagpole holster is manufactured from thick leather and has a smooth chocolate brown finish, heavily-stitched along the rear seam and bottom, unmarked, with a strap stitched to the side incorporating a brass post, the strap with a slit at the opposite end to house the brass D-ring on the belt and when placed around the brass post, ensures a secure fit, the holster measuring 42 mm x 150 mm. The accompanying leather belt has a matching smooth chocolate brown finish, with a tab stitched at the junction and houses the brass D-ring, maker marked "G.B. BERLIN 37" on the tab, a longer strap on the left side with ten die holes for length adjustment and marked with a stylized eagle and swastika, surrounded by the "SA" insignia, marked "DRP", "1/L" and dated "1937", along with a shorter belt on the right side with a brass buckle at its end for receiving of the longer belt, the complete belt measuring 38 mm wide x approximately 1,250 mm long. Wear and crazing evident on the belt, the holster with only light contact, near extremely fine.
