A Battle of Britain Blitz on London Bomb Shrapnel Fragment Souvenir 1940

Iron, magnetic piece of bomb shrapnel fragment mounted to a black painted wooden base, the fragment measuring 19.5 mm x 63.5 mm x 15 mm in height, metal plaque inscribed "FRAGMENT OF GERMAN BOMB PICKED UP NEAR BUCKINGHAM PALACE / NOVEMBER 1940 / SAUNDERS VALVE & SUPPLY CO. LIMITED MONTREAL CANADA" affixed to the the base at the front, the plaque held in place via two screws, green felt on the bottom, the base measuring 72 mm x 103 mm x 22 mm in height, wear evident along the edges of the base, extremely fine.
