A 1957 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Swords/Oakleaves

A 1957 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Swords/Oakleaves: Silver and iron core, magnetic, 49 mm x 70.5 mm, independent ribbon, near mint, marked 800 on frame and 800 on oakleaves. In its hardshelled case of issue, recessed medal bed, case also near mint.   Footnote: These "de-nazified" awards were issued by the Federal Republic of Germany in 1957 for Veterans wear, as Second World War awards were not allowed to be worn. They were awarded only to German Veterans entitled to such awards during the War. Production of these awards ceased in 1986.
