Bronze, obverse illustrating the State of Rhode Island coat-of-arms, surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves incorporating five Armed Forces shields, reverse inscribed "THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND TO HER SONS WHO ON LAND AND SEA DEFENDED THE NATION'S HONOUR IN THE WAR WITH SPAIN 1898", 33.3 mm, scattered residue and oxidation on the reverse, near extremely fine.
