Exterior in beaver fur, concave dome with three hooks, interior in black cotton with fold down ear flaps, the exterior of the flaps in beaver fur and the undersides in black cotton, the underside of the left flap with a Canadian Broad Arrow insignia printed in white ink, a maker's label sewn on the right side near the dome illustrating a Royal coat-of-arms with a "KING" ribbon banner and inscribed with the maker's name "ANDERSON-MACBETH TORONTO CANADA" and dated "1915", 150 mm x 190 mm x 150 mm in height, scattered wear patches evident in the beaver fur, the black cotton interior without fabric interruptions, near extremely fine.
