A German Water Protection Police Belt Buckle by Richard Simm & Söhne

Buckle in die-stamped aluminum with a gold-coloured gilt finish on the right end of the belt, maker marked "R S & S" (Richard Simm & Söhne, Gablonz) on the reverse, 48.5 mm x 64.3 mm, receiving clip in aluminum with a gold-coloured gilt finish on the left end of the belt, the clip maker marked with a stylized "A" (F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid), on a smooth finished brown leather belt with raw underside, smooth finished brown leather tab stitched to the underside at the right end, the tab with ten rows of two holes each for length adjustment, the belt measuring 44 mm x 1,005 mm. Green oxidation on the reverse of the buckle, scattered gilt wear on the buckle and receiving clip, crazing and light soiling evident on the belt from active use, better than very fine.
