A Province of Saxony Fire Department Officer's Belt with Buckle

Belt fabricated from a thick leather, smooth dark brown upper, raw underside with a stylized letter "B" and a strip of leather stitched at the left end, the strip with eight rows of two holes each for length adjustment, 48.3 mm bronze buckle on the right end, the buckle illustrating the Saxon shield surmounted by a spread-winged eagle, surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves, clip on the reverse of the buckle, the belt measuring 43 mm x 970 mm, missing its dual pronged clip on the left end, light contact, extremely fine. A similar buckle is illustrated on page 433 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.
