WWI 105th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge CEF - Pickled brass, unmarked but known to have been manufactured by Hemsley, 42.5 mm x 44 mm, intact lugs and pin, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Prince Edward Island with mobilization headquarters at Charlottetown, under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed July 16, 1916, under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A.E. Ings with a strength of 37 officers and 1,087 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 104th Infantry Battalion. It was disbanded September 15, 1920.
