An Iron Cross 1914 2nd Class with Case by Carl Dillenius

Silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, maker marked "CD" (Carl Dillenius, Pforzheim) and marked "800" (silver) on the ring, 43 mm, independent original ribbon, scattered paint wear on the arms, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, crown in silver ink on the lid, inscribed "Zur Erinnerung an Deutschlands grosse Zeit." (In Memory of Germany's Big Time) with an Iron Cross on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, wear in the fabric overlying the hinged area, scuffed exterior, case better than very fine.
