Grand Cross of The Iron Cross 1870 - Magnetic core, four hairline cracks. Silver frame, slightly vaulted. Measures 60.5x61.5mm, 33.7 grams. Reverse of the cross with eight prongs (three missing). Very good condition. As taken from the flag pole top of an Imperial German unit Standard. This is either left, or the right side of the pole top. Rare.
