An SS Daggerwith Full Rohm Inscription by RICH.ABR.HERDER, Solingen

Scabbard fittings are solid nickel, with just slight contact marks; the black hardwood grip is in excellent condition, no chipping or cracks, showing just few small pressure marks. The solid nickel eagle fits perfectly and exhibits fine details. The SS runes fit perfectly and show no enamel chipping. The scalloped crossguards match the scabbard fittings in color and condition; the reverse of the lower crossguard is marked by Roman numeral “I” (indicating Munich). The scabbard to crossguard fit is tight as it should be. The blade on this dagger, aside from usual runner markings, is virtually mint; The crossgrain to the obverse is intact and crisp throughout, an excellent example.

The acid etched “Meine Ehere Heisst Treue” motto (which translates to "My honor is loyalty") is deep and crisp, well executed; the reverse of the blade is is engraved with the text "In herzlicher Freundschaft, Ernst Rohm" (which translates to "In heartfelt comradeship, Ernst Rohm"). Blade bears maker mark, deeply etched “RICH.ABR.HERDER, Solingen”; aside from tiny age spotting, this blade is mint! The scabbard is straight, early anodized type, without dents, ball only have few speck (no dents), and all four screws remain intact and appear unturned. Overall, an excellent example of this very scarce SS Full Rohm Inscription dagger, extremely fine overall, with near mint blade.
