Red bronze, maker marked "TIFFANY & CO." on the reverse, obverse illustrating the New York State coat-of-arms surrounded by a ring inscribed "SMALL ARMS PRACTICE" and framed by an open-ended wreath, 36.7 mm, with five bronze clasps (9 YEAR, EXPERT, 11 YEAR, SHARPSHOOTER and 12 YEAR), bronze eagle hanger inscribed "MARKSMAN" with pinback, clasps and hanger are linked to the medal via an elaborate hook system, 36.7 mm x 102.8 mm inclusive of its clasps, broken catch on the pinback, light contact, near extremely fine.
